Róbert Weinraub

Robert Weinraub is an aspiring photographer born and raised in Transylvania. His interest in photography sparked at a young age when he started to experiment with the medium by placing himself in the centre of his photos.

Self-portraiture gradually helped him accept his suppressed feelings about sexuality and emerged him from his hometown environment. His path led to the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest where he got a chance to evolve and improve his photographic style. After obtaining his BA degree an internship opportunity led him to Berlin where he started experimenting with analogue medium format photography.

Robert prefers working with natural light and considers himself a follower of the slow photography movement. One of his recent projects is documenting his relationship, portraying his partner with honesty and fragility. Sensitivity, intimacy and simplicity are some of the key elements that define his photographic language.
